Media and DRM formats unmentioned in this article are not supported or not recommended for use in webOS TV.

  • For the media playback features,

    • Seek: Supported

    • Live Seek: Supported on webOS 3.0 or later

    • Fast Forward & Reverse: Not supported

  • For the best playback quality, the duration of audio & video segment must be the same. webOS TV doesn't support different segment duration between audio & video.

  • For HLS tags,

    • EXT-X-PROGRAM-DATE-TIME: Supported

    • EXT-X-ALLOW-CACHE: Not supported

    • EXT-X-DISCONTINUITY: ONLY supported for PTS discontinuity from webOS TV 3.0.
      Apart from PTS discontinuity, other discontinuities aren't supported (codec, container and etc.).
