webOS TV CLI v1.12.2 (June 2022)

Changed Feature

  • Added tips for some error cases

Bug Fixed

  • Fixed the issue that an error occurs when the ares-package --app-exclude command is executed with specific keywords
  • Fixed the issue that launch parameters are not delivered properly when the ares-launch --simulator command with --params option is executed on Windows

Known Issue

  • If you try to launch an app on webOS TV 6.0 Simulator using the ares-launch --simulator command, an error occurs.

webOS TV CLI v1.12.0 (February 2022)

New Features

  • Added the --default option in the ares-setup-device command. This option lets you set a default target device for command execution

  • Added the Auto-Reload feature in the ares-launch --hosted command. This option reloads the hosted app automatically when a file in the app directory under test is changed

  • Added --info and --info-detail options in the ares-package command. This option shows the information of an app package without unzipping it

  • Added the --resource-monitor option in the ares-device-info command. This option shows the resource usage of running apps and services

  • Added the --simulator option in the ares-launch command. This option lets you launch the webOS TV simulator and run an app on the simulator

Changed Feature

  • Enhanced readability of the --listfull option in the ares-install command

Bug Fixed

  • Fixed the js_service template not to use ES6 syntax for webOS4.5 or lower

Removed Feature

  • Removed --storage and --storage-list options in the ares-install command
