NetCast SDK v3.0.1

NetCast SDK 3.0.1 provides tools that help developers to develop the applications for NetCast TV 2013 and later NetCast platforms.

LG Smart TV SDK 3.0.1 fixed a bug that the application has been killed when running the Virtual Keyboard in Emulator 2013. The information on new features, documentation and samples are the same as LG Smart TV SDK 3.0.0.

To install the LG Smart TV SDK using a terminal, follow the below steps.

[For Linux]

1. Go to the downloaded folder in the terminal and change the permission of the extracted installation package.

   $ CD [downloaded folder]
   $ chmod +x LG_Smart_TV_SDK_Installer.bin

2. Then, run the SDK installation package using sudo command in terminal as root.

   $ sudo ./LG_Smart_TV_SDK_Installer.bin

[For Mac]

1. Go to the downloaded folder in the terminal and change the permission of the extracted installation package.

   $ CD [downloaded folder]
   $ chmod -R +x LG_Smart_TV_SDK_Installer.app

2. Then, run the SDK installation package usingopen command in the terminal.

   $ open LG_Smart_TV_SDK_Installer.app

Hardware Requirements

• Processor: Pentium 4.2.0 GHz or higher
• RAM: 1 GB or higher
• OS (32bit/64bit):
  • Windows XP Service Pack 2 or higher, Windows 7
    (In 64-bit Windows, some PCs may have a performance down problem of the emulator.)
  • Ubuntu 10.04 / 12.04, Ubuntu Mint 13 Maya
  • Mac OS X 10.6 Snow leopard, 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks and 10.10 Yosemite
• Screen resolution: 1280 x 1024 or higher
• Video memory: 256 MB or higher

Software Requirements

• Oracle VirtualBox: Supported from version 4.1.18 to 4.2.18 (Version 4.2.18 is recommended 4.3.x is not supported.)
• Safari: Version 5.1.7 or higher
• Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)
• Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers: Indigo Service Release 2
• Java runtime environment (JRE): Version 1.6.0_29 or 1.6.0_30
